Does a running a pledge driving campaign sound complicated to you?  Well it did to me at first, but then I began to learn from others and research a bit and it really is simple.

Running a Pledge Driven Campaign in 3 Easy Steps:

 

Step 1: Find Your Match

Many Pledge Driven Campaigns start with a major donor who issues a pledge challenge to the members of an organization. Often they will offer to match all funds up to a certain dollar amount. This will start the ball rolling for you and your team. Giving people a tangible goal where they can double their impact is a great way to generate momentum and excitement.

 

Step 2: Be Prepared

Being prepared means that your pledge drivers are equipped with what they need to go out to their networks and start raising money for your cause. For our campaigns we design a website that you can access with your computer or your phone. You text out a keyword that is generated for you through our system and and right there on your phone you would ask friends, neighbors, family and especially businesses to give a “pledge” or a donation to your nonprofit.

Step 3: Ask Early and Often

Send your pledge drivers out to their personal networks and have them ask their networks to give to your cause. Remind them to talk about the matching donations and how everything they give will be doubled in impact. This form of fundraising can be very powerful and very effective.
